About Us

Why we made ZipSit

Compression socks are one of those things people are told to wear and then quietly give up on — not because they don't want to, but because they're genuinely hard to put on. You sit down, get the sock as far as your heel, and it stops. Your hands give out before your foot's even in. Some mornings you manage one. Some mornings you skip both.

We started Grunvik to fix that one specific, frustrating moment.

One simple change: a zipper up the side

ZipSit is a calf-length, open-toe compression sock with a full-length zipper running up the side of the leg. Instead of wrestling a tight tube over your foot, you open the zipper, slide your foot in flat, and zip it closed — sitting down, no bending, no grip strength, no one else's help. A soft band of fabric sits behind the zipper the whole way up, so it's the sock you feel, not the metal.

It's not a stronger version of the sock you couldn't put on. It's the one you can.

Who it's for

We built ZipSit for anyone who's been defeated by ordinary compression socks — older adults, people with limited hand strength or mobility, and the sons, daughters, and partners who buy them for someone they love. The real win isn't the sock. It's putting your own socks on again, by yourself, every morning.

What we stand for
